Tafraout is a town in the central part of the Anti-Atlas mountains, Valley of the argan and almond trees “Tafraout” Agadir Or Tafraoute and Ameln Valley trekking. This trip will take place during the best time to enjoy the landscape of almond trees in blooms, on mineral background of pink granite. On the trails of the Anti-Atlas, the Jebel Bani and Tafraoute, you will discover the villages suspended above the almond trees (bloom in mid February to mid March), with the beauty of Jebel Lekst (2359 m of altitude) and buttresses of pink granite, the Ait Moussa valley to steep gorges.
The Anti-Atlas is a desolate world of rocky outcrops and lunar landscapes where the contrasts are extreme. Most of the land is dry and barren, but water gathers and runs in some remote places, forming clear basins. Villages in the area are limited to a few small houses surrounded by palm trees.

Programme

Day 1: Airport-Agadir Hotel

Home at your arrival at Agadir Airport and transfer to your accommodation in 3 star hotel, free time to stroll in town or on the beach.

Day 2: Agadir - Ait Moussa Oasis

In the early morning departure to Ait Moussa (about 120 km). The road rises slowly above the town of Ait Melloul to cross the argan covered plateaus of Ait Baha. We reach a series of small villages. Having enjoyed the first lunch prepared by our cooker and first panoramic view of the oasis near Bouikhssaine. Land workers are at the appointment. Down by a mule track. Camp setup under the argan (200 m). 2 H 30 D walk

Day 3: Ait Moussa - Targa -n-Toucka

One hour climb to two villages fully representative of the local architecture. Located in height, these fortresses feudal manners villages are built from rough stones adjusted without cement. Specificity of the area, porches with beautiful monumental wooden doors often worked. Descent to Tazayoute gorges, where we meet some timid banana crops. possibility to see wild boars. Rise through the gorges and crossing Timsguida collar. 1H 30 walk to reach the oasis of Toshka (460 m). Splendid camp.

Day 4: Targa-n-Touchka - Imzie

Discovery odors during our walk between cultures, the guide will take the opportunity to introduce you to the daily activities of the inhabitants. Through a small olive grove, climb to the village of Imzie. Tea with the locals. There are more and more almond trees typical of the region. Camp near the village (680 m). 5 hour walk.

Day 5: Tgrara - Ait Iften

Walk in the heart of the wild gorges Tagdichte and climb to the Col Tikki (1300 m). Descent on Inzguérne village clinging to the cliffs. The view is impressive, do not forget to count the stairs warriors built during the wars between the tribes! Lunch at the river. Rise of about 2 hours 30 minutes to reach Ait Iften. Ait Iften camp (1500m) at the foot of Jebel Likst. 6 hours of walking.

Day 6: Ait Iften - Jbel Likst ( 2259 m) - Anamer

A sustained rise led us to reach Lekst peak . The Shepherds Trail is hardly drawn between oaks, mountain meadows, rocky outcrops. With luck and discretion, it is possible to see some mountain wildlife. Splendid view of the whole massif, the High Atlas, the Siroua, the great South Tafraoute and long descent on Anergui then Anamer for the last camp (1000m). 7 hours walk.

Day 7: Anamer - Tafraoute - Agadir

On the morning we reach Tafraoute. A moment to stroll through this small town (rather large village), sympathetic, eventually purchased local handicrafts and carpets. Lunch. In the beginning afternoon route to the Souss valley and Agadir. Installation at the 3-star hotel and free evening. 3 hours of walking and 3 H driving
