The jbel saghro : is a range of mountains between the high atlas and the sahara, the eastern continuation of the high Anti-atlas
it is the region of contrasts, one minute a trail may lead beneath date palms or through almound groves watered by an ancient well…
the saghro offers a variety of landforms very wild few, small villages attest to human presence we can see the famous nomadic (Ait Atta ) 

Programme

Welcome at Marrakech Airport and transfer to the hotel. Evening free. Night at the riad (local hotel).
Leaving Marrakech early in the morning, the coach goes towards the south of Morocco. On the way, we drive through the High Atlas to Tizi n’Tichka col (2260m.), then to Ouarzazate, the Roses and the Dades valleys At the end of the afternoon, we arrive in Tagdilt where we meet our caravan. Night in guest house.
At the start of today’s walk, we cross an arid plateau before reaching a small and refreshing oasis with oleanders plantations. We then climb to Ifard col (2450 m) which offers splendid views over the Dades valley and the M’Goun range. The camp is set up further down on the small Almou n’Ouareg plateau.
Walking time: 6 hours.
The trail climbs steadily to Tizi n’Ouareg col (2450 m). We walk then down towards a plateau, surrounded by magnificent cliffs and coloured rocks overlooking the small fields around the hamlet of Igli. Camping or night in a local home. Walking time: 6 hours
Walking along a meandering path, we soon reach the beautiful Tagour plateau (1900m). The trail then goes down to the oasis of Wallouze where we’ll stop for lunch. In the afternoon, we keep going down until we reach the camp at the oasis of Foudoud (1800m.). Walking time: 6 hours.
Following a path at the foot of the Foudoud gorges, we reach the Djebel Tine Wayour. The trail goes on through a few villages and oasis built in what resembles a lunar landscape. After lunch, we keep walking on the same trail first to Ifrane N Assaka and then to the village of Tagmoute (1900m). Supper and night at the camp. Walking time: 6 hours
The path climbs steadily toward a beautiful plateau which overlooks the volcanic range of the Sarrho mountains, an odd geological formation found only in this part of the Anti-Atlas. The views over the snow-capped tops of the High Atlas are magnificent. The trail then goes down to the camp, set up in the valley, beside the village of Isfoul (1750m). Supper and night at the camp. Walking time: 7 hours
Walking through arid and rocky grounds, we come across a few herds of goats. They remind us that the Ait Atta nomads spend the winter at the heart of the Saghro. We are still going down the Isfour valley where there are beautiful landscapes of cliffs and rocky outcrops. After walking on a long and barren plateau, we reach the oasis of Agouram where the camp is set up for the night. .
Walking time: 6 hours
On our last day, the walk is easy. We go through a few large villages where there are date palms and henna plantations. The camp is set up in the Drâa valley.
We leave the beautiful rose valley to drive back to Marrakech where we arrive early in the afternoon. On the way, we will go through the High Atlas and the Ticka pass. Lunch at the Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou. Transfer to the riad. Afternoon and evening free. Driving time: 6 hours (320km)
